Lalle Johnson is a renowned stylist and creative consultant, celebrated for his discerning eye and refined, personal approach to menswear. With four decades of experience shaping the visual identity of leading Scandinavian brands, styling Hollywood stars and global celebrities, he’s widely respected for his refined elegance and encyclopedic knowledge of tailoring. In a rare moment, he steps into the frame himself, lending his presence to AROS LUX (Made-to-measure) debut campaign.

Lalle is no ordinary man. Like Goldberger or Robert Rabensteiner, he’s something of a legend in the menswear world—known not for chasing trends, but for shaping style on his own terms. Independent, intuitive, and always authentic.

When Lalle agreed to develop and interpret four custom-made looks for AROS LUX, we were genuinely honoured.

This is the first in that series: a soft-spoken expression of personal tailoring—a taupe suit in high-twist wool from Lanificio Drago. Subtle. Soulful. Designed to move with the wearer and live with time.

What drew you to this taupe high-twist wool from Drago?
"It’s not just the color—it’s the fabric. This particular cloth is part of Drago’s Blue Feel collection, made from Super 140’s eco-friendly wool. It has that rare blend of structure and softness. It resists creasing, breathes beautifully, and has a breezy feel. When you wear it, you don’t feel dressed up—you feel dressed right."

How does this suit reflect your personal style philosophy?
"I’m drawn to things that are refined without being loud. The cut is relaxed, the shoulder soft, and the color—taupe—says more by saying less. It’s tonal, soulful, and incredibly wearable. For me, true style is about ease, and this piece embodies that."

What makes high-twist wool special in everyday wear?
"High-twist wool, is a game-changer. It holds its shape, resists wrinkles, and lets your body breathe. Blue Feel takes it further—it’s naturally stretchy, water-resistant, even protective against UV. It’s what I call true "traveler" suit."

Why choose taupe over traditional navy or grey?
"Taupe is understated—and that’s the point. It offers the wearer a canvas for expression—perfect with off-white, olive, or even black. With navy, you're always sharp. With taupe, you're interesting. It feels chic, yet completely grounded. And in a tropical wool like this, it travels well and wears even better over time."

Any styling tips for someone wearing this suit?
"Think monochrome or near-tone—keep things simple. A fine knit polo, a shirt with a one-piece collar, maybe even a t-shirt. The cloth already carries texture and depth, so you don’t need to add much. It’s built for movement, so wear it like it’s part of you—not like you're trying too hard."
